ABOUT THE CLUB

Welcome to the Web Site of the Eastwood Epping Seals Swimming Club Inc.

The Club swims on Saturday mornings, 7.30-9.30am, at the EPPING AQUATIC CENTRE, Stanley Road Epping, which is owned and operated by Hornsby Shire Council, Sydney NSW. The complex comprises of an outdoor heated 50m pool and 2 smaller pools.

We are a family focused swim club offering a friendly and relaxed environment for all level of swimmers.

Eastwood Epping Seals was formed in 1960 and is one of the oldest Clubs in the Castlereagh District. Since our inception, we have been striving to provide opportunities for swimmers, of all levels, to improve their swimming and achieve personal goals. We have strong links to our local community and offer both technical and practical support to our local schools and other organizations.

EESC has been honoured to have had representation from our club at District, Metropolitan, State and National levels.

CLUB SWIM MEETS

We currently have approximately 150 members ranging in age from 5 years to 65 years!

We swim from October to March with racing commencing at 7.30am on Saturday mornings.

Each week we offer both scratch and handicap racing formats giving opportunity for all standards of swimmers to experience the thrill of both winning and personal improvement. Our aim is to provide competition that challenges a swimmer’s personal level of ability – this means you might be swimming against a 15 year old or a 65 year old – all with similar ability to yourself.

Each race day usually includes races in each stroke covering distances between 25m and 100m. In addition, longer distance races in freestyle and form strokes are also held on rotation each week. Swimmers may swim in up to 4 races each week.
